A Tutorial for Doll Cheongsam
Here is a tutorial for doll cheongsam and including free doll pattern. The February is the Chinese New Year, and the New Year should be celebrated by wearing a cheongsam, so this tutorial will teach you how to make doll cheongsam. I have always liked the elegance and intellectual beauty of the Chinese cheongsam, and I think it will have a different beauty when worn on a doll.

Tutorial for Doll Cheongsam - Tutorial steps
1. First cut the pattern (Free pattern at the end of the article), then place it on the fabric, draw a mark on the fabric with Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pen and cut off. Before cutting the fabric, test whether the pattern is suitable for your doll. Place the pattern on your doll’s body to check if it fits properly.
2. Sewing side seams. The waist side must be looks like this.
3. Put the two cloths together and sew along the dash line. Left the space 2cm to turn out. Left the space 0.5cm and cut the cloth. Then turn the inside out and sew blind stitch on the turn out space.
4. Pin the collar and the front together, sew along the dash line.
5. Flip the collar and the front, then fix it with pin.
6. Turn back and sew blind stitch along the dash line.
7. Turning to the front, you can see that the collar become "vertical collar".
8. Hemming at the sleeve. Match the facing to the sleeve line and sew.
9. Turn back and flip the facing to the inside and sew.
10. Sew overlock stitch in the facing at the back. It can finishing the raw edge.

11. Match the right side of the back piece and the front piece together, sew the side seam.
12. Hemming at the hemline. Match the facing to the hemline line and sew. Then turn back and flip the facing to the inside and sew. (The sewing method is the same as sewing sleeves)
13. Sew overlock stitch on every edges of the cheongsam parts to finishing the raw edge.
14. Attach the velcro on the back edge.
15. Make a decoration on the cheongsam.
