Christmas Cloak for Dolls Tutorial - Tutorial steps
1. First cut the pattern (the pattern can be found at the end of the article), then place it on the fabric, draw a mark on the fabric with Heat Erasable Fabric Marking Pen and cut off.
Before cutting the fabric, test whether the pattern is suitable for your doll. Place the pattern on your doll’s body to check if it fits properly.
2. Match the side piece and the front piece with the right side. Then sew along the dash line.
3. Match the right side of the shaggy fur piece to the edge of the cloak, then pin and sew along the dash line.
4. Flip the seam of the Shaggy fur pieces down, then fold inside and sew.
5. Finally sew the ribbon as shown
Christmas Dress for Dolls Tutorial - Tutorial steps
1. Cut the sleeve pattern and fabric. Match the ribbon and lace on the middle of the sleeve pieces and sew. Then fold the lace elastic in a half, pin it on the bottom of the sleeve and sew.
2. Match the facing to the neck line with the right side and pin, sew along the dash line. Then flip the facing to the inside and iron.
3. Gather three ruffles on sleeves along the dash line.
4. Match the right side of the sleeve and the bodice, then pin and sew
5. Fold the bodice and sleeve with the right side, then sew the side seams.
Snip in seam at the arm pits.
6. Turn the inside out and iron.
7. Match the waistband and the bodice at the right side then sew.
8. Fold the waistband piece in a half, then flip the seam to the inside and sew.
9. Hem the edge of the skirt piece. Gather 2 lines on the waist of the skirt piece.
10. Spread the bodice and the facing seams, then pin to the skirt with the right side. Sew along the dash line. Hem the dress opening.
11. Match the back opening with the right side and sew along the dash line. Then sew the fasten snaps.
